This dataset includes two main components: soil moisture and infiltration characterisitc.
1. Worksheet 1 has soil moisture measured from several points across a shrubland site in South Texas. Dataset includes total moisture content for individual points for depths of 100, 120 and 140 cm respectively. (details on shrub cover and soil type is included. For more information, please reach out to the manuscript authors.) Measurements were made using neutron moisture meters (Instrotek Hydroprobe, Am/Be source)
2. Worksheet 2 has dataset on infiltrability derived from rain simulations on 0.65 m X 0.65 m plots. The curve derived from this dataset was presented in the manuscript.
3. Worksheet 3 has field saturated hydraulic conductivity derived from points spread across 3 upland sites in South Texas shrublands and grazed pastures. Kfs was derived from beerkan (BEST, Lassabatere, 2006) infiltration tests. Data from the infiltration tests were fitted into models to derive Kfs values (refer to Bagarello et al., 2014)
